Help our Scout group - big or small
We have a wide range of roles at 11th Gillingham Scouts, either supporting young people, or behind the scenes. Any help you can give is truly amazing.
Here are some ideas about what you can do, based on the level of commitment you can give:
One-off help
- Help out at a fundraising event, like our Fireworks Night.
- Come in for one evening to share a skill, or talk about your job.
- Assist our leaders to set up or pack away.
- Lend a hand in tidying, painting, repairing, or improving the hall and its grounds.
- Donate materials, tools, craft supplies, or even useful contacts you might have.
Occasional help
- Commit to helping out once a month or once per half term.
- Join a parent/carer helper rota.
- Support camps, walks, trips, or one of our community events.
- Help out with badge activities.
- Assist with transport, catering, or equipment.
Behind-the-scenes support
- Grant applications or fundraising.
- Premises maintenance.
- Joining our Trustee Board, which oversees the Group.
Regular Section help
- Section Team Member.
- Assistant-style helper.
- Occasional programme planner.
- Future Team Leader.
Come and volunteer with us for just four sessions and be amazed at the difference you'll make. No pressure, no obligation, and you will be supported throughout.
